The School has a campus of around 3.5 acres (14316 sq. mtrs).
The School has an extensive building (built up area 2125 sq. mtrs) with airy and wide corridors and staircases. It is a 3
storied building with 34 spacious classrooms, 2 world class Computer Labs, 2 acoustically built Audio Visual rooms,
1 large & well stocked Library,a General Science Lab,two Math Labs,Physics Lab,
a Chemistry Lab,an Art room,
a Music room,a Sports room, 3 Teacher’s Resource Centres, a Conference Hall and an Administrative block with a spacious
Reception.
Classrooms
The class rooms are spacious, airy and full of natural light which open towards broad and safe corridors.
Besides a big blackboard for writing, there are two soft boards in every classroom. These soft boards
are maintained by teachers and students various types of Information and creative works are displayed regularly on there boards.
The seating arrangement of students is often changed to bring freshness and energy in the class.
Average size of a classroom is 24’ x 22’. Primary Classes I to IV are in the second floor, Classes V to
VIII are in the first floor and Classes IX to XII are in the ground floor.
ICT Integration
The incredible expansion of the web world along with its ease and affordability of integrated technology have come together to create a new learning methodology in education. In the present times, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has taken centre stage in different aspects of human development.The School has two world class computer labs (size 34’ x 24’) which are equipped with 40 computers each with latest hardware & software catering to the needs of each student. The School has a well laid out policy for integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with the normal teaching – learning process. The Computer Labs and the Multimedia Classrooms are equipped with the latest audio-visual aids and internet connectivity.
E Learning
We have a tie up with DS Digital for an e-learning solution. This allows a healthier interaction between the teachers and the students. Creative teaching and stimulated learning in our multimedia classrooms using the Destination Success programme has made the teaching – learning process more vibrant. Wide range of educational content in all the subjects not only gives exposure to new ideas but also encourages proactive participation of the students.
Our teachers are computer savvy and use I.T. effectively in education and involve children in it.Taking technology further the School has taken a path breaking step to transform Classes I & II into Smart Classes by introducing smart boards with all the educational content.
Library
The School has a well-furnished and spacious library containing a large number of books catering to the needs of all the students and teachers alike. A number of periodicals, magazines and newspapers are regularly subscribed. The library also supplies teachers with a range of reference books and other material to enrich their class room activities and teaching. Children are encouraged to read extensively. Damage or loss of books shall be replaced by the concerned student. Parents are requested to voluntarily add books to the library.
Book exhibitions and competitions like Book Jacket Designing, Book Mark Making and Reading Theatre are held from time to time. Every year, voracious readers from each class are recognized and rewarded.
Art Room
There is an Art Room (24’x22’) in the eastern wing of the ground floor of the school building. It is
equipped with most of the materials required for art, craft and drawing. There are four broad tables
for the students to sit and draw or design their craft. There are art books with works of renowned
artists and painters which can be referred to for art work by students. It also has the internet
facility for exploring further about different art forms and designs. Students’ work has been displayed on
the soft boards and shelves. Art Exhibitions are held time to time for displaying students’ work.
Music Block
At the extreme end of the eastern wing an the ground floor of the school building, there is a Music Block.
The school has a state of art music block named Sur Niketan with necessary environment to encourage students to learn music in its various facets. It also has a fully equipped sound recording and music production studio. There are three different workstations for choir / vocal, keyboard instruments, rhythm instruments, rhythm percussion and string instruments. All the rooms are soundproof and acoustically treated. There is a thermal insulation in all the rooms which are fire resistant.
The music rooms are equipped with a network for audio and video visualization. The music block has a unique location as it connects with the auditorium to facilitate events.
Laboratories
There are different labs for different subjects. A General Science Lab caters to the needs of senior
primary and secondary level students. (size: 48’ x 24’) It is equipped with apparatus and audio visual
content suitable as per the needs of students of that particular age. Demonstrative learning through
experiments and hands-on experience encourages students to take interest in Science. It has a collection
of books and study material for reference of to for students and teachers.
The Physics Lab and the Chemistry Lab (size 38’ x 24’ each) are catering to the requirements of students
of Senior Secondary level as per the CBSE curriculum. They are equipped with modern apparatus for the
benefit and knowledge of the students.
Mathematics Lab
Mathematics Lab (Size 24’ x 22’) has its furniture in geometrical shapes. It is equipped with the
GO-Maths kit of S. Chand Harcourt with multiple manipulatives to conduct experiments and allow students
to have a hands-on experience of different mathematical aspects. This is clubbed with the audio visual
content of Destination Maths from S. Chand Harcourt.
Sports and Adventure
The school has the required infrastructure for Indoor games as well as Outdoor sports. It has a total play field area of
7000 sq.mtrs. The Basketball court is of International standard and used for having different competitions at school and
college level. Children are coached in Cricket, Football, Basketball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Skating and Athletics. Indoor games
like Table tennis, Chess, Karate, Carrom etc. are also very popular. The Indoor sports room is in the eastern wing of the
school building at the ground floor. Regular competitions are held at individual and Inter-house level in different sports.
Yoga forms an integral part of the school curriculum.
The school has created a separate Adventure Park for students. Infrastructure and equipment have been designed using maximum waste material to encourage recycling amongst students. The zone focuses on enhancing physical and mental strength by involving students in activities like Balancing Beam, Rope Climbing, Ladder Climbing, River Crossing, Net Scramble and many more.
Auditorium
The School has a magnificent auditorium. It is a fully air conditioned, acoustically treated and well lit hall with a capacity of around 400 people. It is furnished with a world class sound system and all audio visual facilities. An automated elevator allows convenient access to it for the guests. A pantry is attached with the auditorium. The auditorium is also used as a multipurpose hall for indoor sports and other activities.
