17	Salient Features	The School runs in a single shift starting at 8:00 a.m. during summers and 8:20 a.m. during winters. The academic session is from April to March every year. The Kids World starts at 9:00 a.m. during summers and 9:30 a.m. during winters. There is a provision of ‘Fruit Break’ after the 1^st period where it is compulsory for all the children to eat fruit. Due emphasis is laid on healthy tiffin. No junk food is allowed in School. The School does not charge any kind of Development Fee, Building Fee or so called “DONATION” from its students. Members of the faculty are not permitted to take private tuitions of our School children. Different Co-curricular activities like Football, Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Skating, Karate, Music, Dance, Art & Craft etc are conducted in the School during the evening time. Nominal fee is charged for these activities. The School organises different educational and adventure camps on a regular basis. Required emphasis is given on developing a questioning mind. The Why & How forms the base of interaction between students & teachers. The School conducts morning Assembly every day. It is a congregation of teachers and students where they pray and sing together. It also serves as a platform for learning discipline and improving public speaking skills. For our children this School is ‘a home away from home’. The philosophy of learning at our school is child centric. The idea is to strengthen each child’s individuality. For us ‘Each Child is Unique’. A balance in Curricular, Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular activities is maintained. To monitor the health and physical fitness of students, regular Medical Check-up is done by qualified doctors. Parent-Teacher meetings are organized regularly to maintain a healthy interaction between parents and teachers. The School is part of the Kutch Sahodaya.
